Paid Time off, sick days, vacation, holidays etc.
Our job is to find the people for you to interview and select. We hire the people on your behalf. We help you manage such as ensuring people start work on time.
We created a Good Morning login app. The app emails each worker 15 minutes before their start time as a reminder to login. If a worker fails to login by their start time the app automatically emails the worker and our Dominican team leader, Chriss Contreras. Chriss contacts the worker and if necessary their emergency contact to find out why they did not login.
If there is any news worth reporting to you, Chriss will contact you. One of her jobs is to help you manage the people and solve any problems early so they do not blow up into bigger problems later.
Your job is to create a good overall opportunity for the worker so they are happy, motivated and want to work hard for you.
We do not and cannot require that you offer PTO or any rewards or retention plans to the people we set up to work for your company.
However, the people we assign to you will know of others working for different American companies and even in the DR call centers and resorts offer paid time off and other incentives. In other words, the people we set up to work for you will know what else is out there to compare with working for you.
This is not a Dominican thing, that is just common sense regardless where people work.
Although the people we set up to work for you are contractors the plan is for they and you to think of each other as employer & employees.
If you want people to give their 100% and be loyal and want to stay with you long term, treat them good.
Most companies we work with offer their Dominican staff the same paid USA holidays that they offer their USA staff. You can also design your own ideas for vacation, etc.
We also suggest annual evaluations and if justified, annual raises same as with USA employees.
If you give a person a raise we increase the pay for the worker to match the raise and add this to the billing rate.
If you pay a person a bonus we will front the money to pay this to the worker and add to your next month invoice so we are reimbursed. We pass through bonuses 100%, we never take a cut of raises or bonuses.
One of our clients is a global VP of talent acquisition for a large corporation. His Dominican based recruiting staff have worked for this VP the past 4 years.
The VP has truly come to think of the Dominican staff same as valued employees while on paper they are contractors payrolled through our HR company.
The other day, this VP asked that we research ideas in the DR that can be added to compensation that help cause the workers to think of this job as a long term career. Examples are retirement products this company/VP can deposit money to as a means of helping the Dominican staff save for a downpayment on a home or for their retirement.
You are not required to do any of this. The point is these Dominican people give their 100% to this VP and they want to build long term careers working for the VP because he treats them same as valued employees, although the VP benefits from their lower cost by working remote from the DR.
It is true, you get out of people what you put into them.
